fakingfashion:

Lee Mcqueen was ever inspired by nature as is his sucessor Sarah Burton. The latter however, designs with a dreamier, lighter sense of nature than Lee’s darkened sensabilities.  This collection, fall winter 2012/13, explored that lighter, dramatically feminine and fleshy side of nature while still keeping in contact with the legacy of Lee’s work.  As Sarah Mower says in the Vogue.com review, pragmatism is seemingly lacking here, where fashion weeks so far have been full of veritable ready to wear looks. Not to worry says Mower, come May McQueen stores will be full of very saleable clothing, inspired by the mood and themes of this collection-this translates into pastel tailored seperates and knits.-h
